Not just any old #Rover 200, but a last of the line SD3 from 1989 in period beige. Successor to the Acclaim, badged as a Rover rather than a Triumph signalled the end for the brand in Britain (and controversial as the Rover brand had long been associated with large exec motors).

This week’s chod spot comes to you from leafy Surrey. So leafy in fact it looks like this #Rover 200 hasn’t long left before its consumed by rot. Perhaps the car behind it is a donor for parts? At launch, this 214SLi model was highly praised by CAR when tested against its rivals.

C’est l’été ! And the #Fiat Topolino brings a smile to everyone’s face (or look of “WTF” – I’ll let you decide). Unlike the Ami it’s based on, you can buy this without doors – an ‘open air’ version with rope either side (tho that’s probably another reason not to buy one for most)

@skoutoulis I once moved a Reliant Robin that way. In the middle of the night while drunk. With several mates. Hilarious at the time but now the thought haunts me as I imagine the owner’s face come morning to find his car pointing in a different direction.

@axlestand I had an 1987 FIAT 126 about 30 years ago. Absolutely loved it. Was ridiculous but so much fun.
My party trick in tight spaces, was to get the nose in, & bump the rear quarter from the wheel arch until the car was in the bay.
You had to keep the drum brakes well maintained though

Who said range anxiety is a new thing? Filling up this #Fiat 126 is gonna cost you less than 30 quid but only give you (max) 250 miles out of a full tank. Still, in this little thing, those miles are gonna provide plenty of smiles!
