@TweetHearts72 I definitely spank MY kids when they need it. You don’t know if she tapped or did more. All the mother knows is her kid no longer felt safe or wanted to go to that house. For a little kid to feel that way at that age says a lot about what possible treatment he was receiving.

My ex husband and I divorced 6 years ago when our son had just turned 1. He ended up marrying the woman he cheated on me with and now, they have a 5 year old boy. l've never had an issue with my son spending time with his half brother, they have a strong bond and genuinely care for each other. My boy looks out for his brother and loves him very much. I make sure to treat his brother the same as if he was my own, giving gifts and including him in our family parties. Most weekends, my son stays over at his dad's house. They have a close relationship that makes me happy. But recently, my son called me in tears, asking if I could pick him up because he didn't want to stay there anymore. He told me his step mum hit him.

She is not the one who broke up their family is she? It is the person who decided to step out with another person while still married.

But they also respect the ways we as their parents choose to discipline our children. If hitting is not part of how you discipline then your community also has to do the same.

Parents can’t be everywhere.
