I usually don’t comment on Pakistani politics. I disagree with IK on many political issues. But this is not about politics- it’s about my children’s father, his human rights & international law. For the past few years, I’ve been bullied & harassed into silence by PML-N goons, including rape threats & countless conspiracy theories. Meanwhile Twitter/ X is banned in Pakistan, PTI party members & civilian supporters have been abducted, anyone with a platform who was speaking out is now in jail & silenced, Imran Khan’s photo and name have been censored on state television (they have even redacted his image from any coverage of Pakistan’s World Cup win of 92!) I owe it to my children to try to create some awareness about what is happening in Pakistan. Please help in any way that you can. Thank you.

We stand with the people of Pakistan’s right to fair elections, free of violence and intimidation. The U.S. must ensure our tax dollars are not undermining democracy and political dissent in Pakistan and across the globe.

After today's remarkable electoral performance by PTI, will we finally see the end of those "PTI isn't really that popular, it's just hyped on social media" takes? It's PTI's mass popularity that enabled it to persevere and defy the electoral odds, and in such a big way.

We must stand with the Pakistani people as their democracy is at serious risk. They should be able to elect their leaders without interference and tampering with the process, and the U.S. must ensure our tax dollars don't go to anyone undermining that.

Just met Rizwana and her mother with THE AMAZING @SarahAhmad_CPWB Not going to share any photos of the child but will describe her condition. She was in a lot of pain and badly battered and injured. Her head aching immensely. However when we asked her if she wanted anything... Her eyes lit up and she said in a weak voice, almost excited with a beautiful shy smile, “Guriya chahiyay…” The innocence of children. My heart broke. I asked her what she is going to name the guriya and she smiled a big smile at me, through the pus infected injuries on her face, regardless of an aching headache and said “Dolly!” Then she looked at me and said “Bohot maraa mujhay baji, Bohot maraa” We told her we are fighting for insaaf, then wanted to leave her in a positive frame of mind so chatted about Dolly’s makeup and clothes before leaving. Her favourite food is chocolate cake. BLESS HER! I can imagine her day dreaming about the toys and food she saw being given to the rich kids around her. She is after all, just a child, and she wants to heal, wants to play, wants to smile. Please let’s protect that smile! PLEASE. Shopping for her now. Seeing her smile has calmed my heart, but seeing her injuries shattered it. And am more determined than ever to see #JusticeFor_Rizwana
