It’s been A DAY! A positive, yet emotional one. I’m currently navigating my past, picking up from where I last left off… before I had joined web3. Many of you know in 2020, my career was just beginning in surgery and rehabilitation, but paused to grieve the unexpected passing of my mom. During that pause was when I found web3. I love it, but I also deeply miss the medical & health sciences. As a step forward back into that field, I’ve been in the process of applying for a BioMed teaching position at a high school. Little did I know, that this process would also open up a can of grief. Grief of my mom, grief of a dream not yet finished, grief of the person that I used to be. I share this because life has its twists and turns, and love, passion, & grief will be a part of it all. Its reminder for myself and to anyone else that needs to hear it, that it’s important to never give up, keep moving forward, and to keep doing the grief work even when it’s heavy and painful. Emotions are what make us human, and the better we can understand it and learn to cope in healthy ways, the sooner we reach the other side where we are happy again, fulfilled, and excited. My journey is still unfolding but for now, I’m excited to balance web3, content creation, and getting back into the biomed field.
