A Christian from Benue State, Joesy Blaise, has stirred intense debate with a viral video in which he challenges the narrative that terrorists in Northern Nigeria primarily target Christians.
In the strongly worded message, he said: “As a Christian living in Northern Nigeria, I can tell you that the people these terrorists kill the most are Muslims. If they were only targeting Christians, they would have gone to the South or East. Instead, they open fire in the North, in areas predominantly populated by Muslims, yet you think Christians are the only victims.”
He continued: “These terrorists are not truly Muslim; they are driven by personal gain. Even if you have read the Quran from cover to cover, they will kill you if you don't give them money. They are merely political tools used to shout ‘Allahu Akbar.’ Even the Bible says, ‘Not all who call me Father know me.’”
Joesy Blaise added: “ISIS attacks Iran but not Israel, yet you believe Iran is funding them, not Israel. When Al-Qaeda members are wounded, they are treated in Israel. An ISIS terrorist was caught and found to be an Israeli agent.”
The video has sparked heated reactions across Nigeria, with many praising his courage for speaking against a common narrative of Christians genocide in Northern Nigeria.
