Tinubu in Jos Confirms ‘Don't Vote for Me’ Prediction on Power Supply
During the 2023 campaign, President Tinubu made a clear electoral promise: “If I don’t give you constant electricity in four years, don’t vote for me for a second term.”
When he took office in 2023, Nigeria had a power supply of over 4,000 megawatts and lower tariffs. Today, the electricity power supply is less than 4,000 megawatts on the average, and Nigerians are paying higher tariffs. Nigeria currently has the lowest per capita electricity consumption in the world, with a rate below 30% of the African average. Africa’s average is 617kwh, Nigeria’s is 144 kWh. This means that Nigerians consume least electricity than other Africans.
In a glaring display of disregard for promises and a lack of trust, President Tinubu, during a brief airport stopover to visit grieving families of the Jos attack on Thursday, April 2, 2026, stated that one of the reasons for his 10-minute stay was that the airport had no electricity. “You have no light here I fly out in ten minutes” At a time when Nigerians are enduring days without power, our leaders cannot even stay a few minutes without it.
Now is the time to stop incompetent leaders—those lacking the capacity and compassion—who prioritise their own comfort over the well-being of the people and make empty promises.

Nigeria is a reflection of the people in it.
Someone shot his shot at Victor Osimhen for a jersey and even tagged a vendor.
Osimhen saw it and said he’d personally send one.
Then told the vendor to add 15 more jerseys for others.
-That’s where it got interesting.-
Immediately money entered, the story changed.
The vendor suddenly said Osimhen told him to share it himself.
He claimed he had already picked 15 people.
—Then it got worse—
He called the same person who brought him the business a scam.
From there, he tried to “negotiate”:
7 for the guy, 8 for himself.
Greed, plain and simple.
The guy refused and asked for all 15 jerseys as instructed.
—Next thing—
The vendor switched again.
Said the post was “stolen” and brought another person to justify it.
—Now here’s the real problem—
Instead of people calling out the wrong,
they started defending it.
“Make una settle.”
“Na just jersey.”
“Let it go.”
- Someone even offered to pay extra,
rewarding bad behavior.
And that’s when it becomes clear:
We are not different from the people we complain about in power.
—This is how it starts—
small compromise, small dishonesty, small defense of wrong.
Nigeria didn’t just become this way overnight.
We built it, little by little, with everyday actions like this.
Truth is, many people are only “good” because they’ve not had the opportunity to do worse.
One day, we will have an honest conversation about the double standards on this TL.

Leadership Tussle: Nafiu Bala Resigns As ADC Chairman By Funke Ogunlolu The 2023 Gombe governorship candidate and former national deputy chairman of the African democratic congress. Nafiu Bala has tendered his letter of resignation after declaring himself as the interim national chairman of the party. In the letter Addressed to the former national chairman of the party, Ralph Nwosu, Bala stated that his resignation was to pave way for smooth and effective coalition as well as restructuring the party. Bala assured that he is not abandoning the party and ready to serve in any capacity but the former Gombe governorship candidate was silenced on the David Mark-led interim leadership. The announcement came after the official handing over of ADC to the former Senate President and his team by the former national executive committee on Wednesday. During his declaration as the national chairman, Bala had accused Mark-led interim leadership of the ADC of hijacking the party through unconstitutional means and warned of impending legal action to challenge what he described as a “total surrender” of the party’s structure to external political actors. The former deputy national chairman emphasized that the party’s constitution clearly outlines the processes for leadership succession and that, in line with those provisions, he was now assuming the position of interim national chairman. Reducing what goes on in a boy’s head on his birthday to fake maturity is an evidence to how insensitive the other gender can be to a boy, many times even in relationships.
For boys, a lot of expectations are attached to age
While birthday is a call for studio photoshoot for some
for many boys, new age is a reminder of the apartment of their own that they should have had
It’s a reminder that they are getting too old to be where they’re financially, academically and relationship wise etc
On a normal day a boy could just sit and start thinking of how to move forward in life, that thinking is more intense on a birthday
So if they don’t send a picture of themselves as broadcast to all contacts on WhatsApp group for a repost, it’s not a flex
They are grateful for life, but when they have something truly worth celebrating they won’t hold back
It’s not fake maturity, we are usually on a date with reality and reality is not friendly.
