@nickhedley @ayittey has done us favour, back in 1992 already in his book Africa Betrayed, in explaining what's happening to the ANC. I'd always viewed political situation of our country from that prism. I'd always hoped that we would bunk the trend that befell fellow African states. Sadly.

I wouldn’t make such a comparison; it would be inappropriate and misleading. A stateless has no political leaders or centralized authority and gov’t. it does not mean chaos and insecurity reign, Instead, customary LAW reign supreme

@ayittey Are there outliers... Thinking about The American South: Would the Jim Crow South be considered a stateless society - often few laws on the books. And, yet racism and injustice (from white neighbors) created a FEAR society. A central government was needed to contain it.
