CHILD FOUND IN ANACOSTIA RIVER HAS DIED; PASSERBY PULLED CHILD FROM WATER WASHINGTON, D.C. — A tragic update in the incident along the Anacostia River: the young child found unconscious in the water has now died. The incident occurred in the 1900 block of Anacostia Drive, where a passerby spotted the child in the river and pulled the child from the water before first responders arrived. The child, was found unconscious and in critical condition. 🚨 The juvenile was transported via MEDEVAC to a local hospital, where despite life-saving efforts, the child was pronounced dead.
