This developer wants to learn NextJS through a project, but it's not ethically sound if it doesn't align with the company's established stack. If the company primarily uses Laravel, shifting the stack for personal learning is inappropriate. However, if NextJS aligns with the company's use cases, then it would be both ethical and logical to adopt it. A project manager or tech-lead will likely notice this pattern and address it directly with the developer, making a decision based on company priorities.
