Resources are created by visionary leaders, and if you see a society that suffers from poverty and conflict, the root cause is lack of visionary leadership that can show people the path to peace and prosperity. Great to see former President @HESharifShAhmed taking the lead of pushing back #AKP/#Türkiye direct interference in the internal politics of #Somalia. This interference is not accidental as Türkiye has invested multiple assets in Somalia over the last decade. However, if this behavior is not aggressively confronted by the Somali people, it will create a long term political instability in the country. Of course, Türkiye is a brotherly country, but there is a red line that must not be crossed.

Should we be surprised Trump views Justice Ketanji Brown of “low IQ?” I’m not. Trump’s use of the term “low IQ” is a thinly camouflaged attack on the intelligence of black people in general. He uses it on almost every African American opponent, especially women, but rarely on white opponents. While political reality in America discourages Trump from calling all African Americans “low IQ” people, he does it around the edges, and speaks disparagingly of those blacks he considers powerless and vulnerable to bullying like Haitians and Somalis. Trump is a deeply insecure, racist bully.

Xaqsoor Party leader Aynte appears to have broken away from the Heritage camp. Given how close he was to Abdulkareem Jama, the fact that he’s now backing Fahad’s camp suggests that Somali politics has become seriously tangled. In Türkiye, when alliances shift like this during elections, loyalties blur, and people often joke, “Things are such a mess, I’ll just vote for Recep Tayyip Erdoğan again.” The situation in Somalia feels much the same everything is chaotic, and it’s hard to tell who’s aligned with whom. If I were Somali, I’d probably just vote for Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and be done with it. 🤣
