From what we understand, the staking rewards are around 2.26% per year on the total 431,267,134 HYPE currently staked. If more people stake HYPE, this APR should decrease. Also, in the token allocation there doesn’t seem to be a specific bucket for staking rewards, so staking rewards would gradually increase the token supply over time. This is similar to other projects like Injective, Solana, UNI, or basically any project — the supply increases over the years as more tokens are emitted, meaning the total amount of tokens grows over time. For example, Solana’s supply increases by roughly ~26,746,620 SOL per year, which implies an inflation rate of about 6.32% per year for staking rewards.
