Another night. Another resident doctor assaulted inside a government hospital. At Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BRIMS Bidar), a first-year Medicine resident was attacked by 5–6 attendants inside the casualty while on duty last night, reportedly merely for initiating an MLC as part of medico-legal protocol. The most disturbing part: there was reportedly not even a single security guard present to protect the doctor. Can a young doctor be assaulted even killed simply because he was trying to save a critically ill patient? Is this justifiable? @CMofKarnataka @DgpKarnataka #MedTwitter
