Great day of paddling in Cali yesterday. Drove an hour to do a Team USA time trial (3:06/500m), then jammed back to MDR to do a 10mi (12 including the paddle to start line). Our Masters Crew got 3rd place in our division, and 1st time hubs and I in the same boat, on open ocean.

Always a great time when my Kansas #paddle sistahs come to visit. We didn’t get to race in the @azdba festival due to the lake closure, but they took full advantage of our beautiful #azwx. Paddled OC6(1st time) and OC1s. And, they even brought me cookies from #Kansas. #Wednesday

@phxbetty It was a hard decision for everyone involved, but it was the safe one for the @Tempegov and AZDBA. As soon as we find an available date, we will notify all teams. As always, we appreciate the support of our local teams. Thank you, Coaches Julie and Betty! We’ll be back! #StaySafe

We should’ve been paddling Day 2 of our @azdba dragon boat fest today, but with the lake closure due to debris and rushing waters from the release from the reservoirs, we’re land bound. Sadly, the dragons are now back in storage. TTL Dam today vs how the dam normally looks.#azwx

It is with great disappointment and heavy hearts to inform you that the 18th Annual Arizona Dragon Boat Festival and other planned dragon boating events have bee postponed due to safety concerns. #azwx @Tempegov

@azfamily Wow! This weekend is the annual Arizona Dragon Boat Festival at Tempe Town Lake. I hope releasing water from the dams don’t impact the races. @azdba will be on the watch with @Tempegov.
