Iranian propaganda is embarrassing. Yesterday, an F-35 was damaged during a mission to bomb Iran. It may have been hit by Iranian fire, or it may have been struck by debris after intercepting a missile. What happened is not clear, but the plane was able to return safely to base. The pilot was lightly injured but is in stable condition. American and Israeli planes have flown more than 10,000 missions over Iran since the current conflict started, successfully bombing thousands of sites, killing most of Iran’s leadership and substantially degrading Iran’s military capabilities. This is the first incident where an allied plane has been damaged during one of these missions. The allies have complete control of the skies over Iran. Whatever happened yesterday was most likely a fluke. Iran’s tattered air defenses have not suddenly developed the capacity to shoot down F-35s.
Gandalv@Microinteracti1

The F-35 was supposed to be unkillable. That was the whole point. Lockheed Martin spent thirty years and four hundred billion dollars, the most expensive weapons programme in human history, building an aircraft that the enemy simply could not see. Not on radar. Not on infrared. Not on anything. The F-35 was not just a fighter jet. It was a theological statement. America’s way of saying: we have moved beyond the reach of your missiles, your sensors, and your prayers. Iran apparently didn’t get the memo. Somewhere over Iranian airspace on March 19, 2026, an IRST system, infrared search and track, the kind of sensor your grandmother could probably explain, looked up, found the F-35, and locked on. Not because Iranian engineers are geniuses. Because the F-35, it turns out, is extremely hot. All that engine. All that thrust. All that carefully sculpted stealth geometry, and the bloody thing glows like a kettle. The heat signature data Iran now holds is not just embarrassing. It is a gift that keeps giving. To Moscow. To Beijing. To every procurement ministry on the planet that has been quietly wondering whether to spend the money on systems designed to kill this aircraft. The answer, as of this week, is yes. And here is the bit that should really worry the Pentagon. You can patch software. You can redesign coatings. You cannot reprogramme a pilot’s brain. Every F-35 driver who takes off from here on knows, actually knows, that someone down there might be able to see them. That changes everything about how they fly. Caution replaces aggression. Hesitation replaces instinct. Four hundred billion dollars. And in the end, it was done in by a heat sensor. Tremendous. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

The Dems keep thinking it was the right wing pushing people on the T issue and that’s why people suddenly started to care. Quite the opposite really. The Dems kept pushing an issue that was drastically unpopular. Then…. A political party woke up and found a gift on their doorstep one day. They watched their opponents bc so rabid, so deranged, they defended men in women’s sports, rapists in women’s prisons, and 50 year old men stripping in the locker rooms of 13 year old girls and they all collectively forgot what a woman is. Frankly, it took Reps years longer than expected to take advantage of that. When you’re so far gone that your female Supreme Court justice nominee has to say she has no clue what a woman is, that insanity, that lunacy, that “are you being serious right now”, is going to become a huge issue. None of you realized how far down the rabbit hole you fell. You didn’t understand that anyone being exposed to it would look at you all and think you’re certifiable. Drag queens for kids??????? Of course they ran with it. You keep falling into the trap every single time. It’s the easiest win in political history. Is my opponent sane? Does he even know what a woman is? Slam dunk. You can squawk about it. Pretend not to understand why people care but if you don’t know why people care about fairness and safety and keeping creeps away from kids you’re pretty far gone. The question to ask is what happened to you? Who walked you into these positions? Why are you still defending them? Haven’t you learned by now that none of this is fair TO women and kids?

You know, for someone who has built enough rifles (many from PSA) to arm his great great grandchildren, and has spent a majority of his adult life supporting 2A causes, covid proved all the guns and “don’t tread on my cold dead hands blood tyrant liberty trees” is worthless. We bluffed, they called. We were designed to be a well armed and trained homogenous citizenry who could be called forth by our own representatives to defend ourselves, but we left a power vacuum to be filled by tyrants, subversives, foreigners, and traitors. Seek and wield power. No amount of isolated individuals owning guns will help you without power, organization, and direction.

Politicians in Virginia are racing to pass an "assault weapons" ban that could take effect July 1st, and we're doing something about it. At Palmetto State Armory, we're not just building firearms, we're maximizing freedom. 🇺🇸

Anonymous I’m a school nurse. We have a rule. Kids without lunch money get a cold cheese sandwich. Nothing else. It’s policy. This boy came in one Wednesday. Sixth grader. Stomach pain he said. I’ve been doing this twenty years. I know real stomach pain and I know hunger. “When did you last eat?” He looked at the floor. “Yesterday lunch.” Sent him to the cafeteria with a note. Told them to give him a full hot meal. Pasta. Salad. Milk. The works. Cafeteria lady looked at my note. Looked at me. Gave him the tray without a word. He ate like he hadn’t seen food in days. Probably hadn’t. Came back to my office after. “Am I in trouble?” “For what?” “For eating.” “That’s what food is for.” Started keeping granola bars, peanut butter crackers, juice boxes in my bottom drawer. For kids who come in with headaches that are really hunger. Stomachaches that are really empty. I’m not supposed to. Technically against policy. Don’t care. Told my principal once. She looked at me for a long moment..... Opened her desk drawer. Showed me her stash. Crackers. Fruit snacks. Applesauce. “What drawer?” she said. We never spoke of it again. That sixth grader is in high school now. Came to find me last spring. “I just wanted you to know I’m okay. And that I remembered. I always will.” He volunteers at a food bank on weekends. Has since he was thirteen. Best granola bars I ever bought.

@AnaKasparian I don’t condone threats against anyone, but it’s striking how some (read notorious antisemites) who spend all day attacking Israel and Jews, sometimes fueling hostility that spills into real-world harm, suddenly cast themselves as victims when their claims are challenged.

The future lies in the darknet, as the clearnet is already being fully monitored. It has a reason that the darknet is always described as dystopian criminal hell hole by the mass media; and while this part obviously exists, there are lots of useful resources and legit use cases. If you are new to Tor & the darknet, here a quick list with things to keep in mind: 1. Download Tor Browser ONLY from torproject[.]org + verify signature 2. Never log into Gmail/Facebook/Discord/etc. while on Tor 3. Don’t resize or maximize the window (fingerprinting) 4. No extensions, no plugins, ever 5. Keep JavaScript on “Safer” unless the site is ultra-sketchy, then “Safest” 6. Use Tails OS or Whonix VM if you’re doing anything 'serious' 7. Never download & open files outside Tor Browser 8. Treat every .onion link like it wants to steal your soul (use Dark[.]fail, tor[.]taxi, or Ahmia, a .onion search engine) 9. No real names, photos, or info; ever! 10. Monero > Bitcoin. New address every time. 11. New Identity button is your friend after every sensitive action 12. If it asks for phone verification, it’s a scam or the cops. Happy browsing - and stay safe! P.S.: No, TOR is not (!) 100% anonymous, nothing ever really is, but it is the best option we have.

A solar panel's lifespan is just 15 to 20 years. After that, efficiency drops and it needs replacing. Each panel is built from glass, aluminum, silicone, silver, copper and polymers. While glass and aluminum can be recycled, the silicone, silver and polymers (the most mining/energy-intensive components) are rarely recovered due to the cost and difficulty involved. Because of this, the panels simply end up in landfills. By 2050, solar panel waste is estimated to hit 78 million tons, according to the International Renewable Energy Agency. This is the dirty secret of 'clean' energy: short lifespan, heavy mining, and a growing toxic waste crisis.

@azhillhermit @AncapAir The concept of ownership can be logically argued. This is the essence of argument ethics. What makes your claim over it more valid than his? I don't need other people to consent to the ownership of my body or smth I put my labour into. That's not how consent works.
