@coursenne because i tweeted that divine was raised well and that it reflects in the way his father carries himself? i don’t see how appreciating divine’s family and acknowledging their strength through this traumatic situation takes anything away from another family’s grief.

@coursenne one of my few fb shares btw, and i also signed sanggu’s open letter to ateneo. again, you don’t know anything about what i’ve done or the ways i’ve called out the institution. and again, when have i ever shaded or invalidated the grieving mother?

lol i think you’re forgetting that they’re more than just athletes. they’re at ateneo for a quality education, and do you really expect them to leave when they only have 1–2 years left before graduating? this take is so stupid
🙂‍↔️@coursenne

Macky, Matt, and JM decommitted to that school after what happened to their close friend. And you expect people to be compassionate to the athletes who experienced that whole tragedy, but still chose to stay? Fck them, fck that school, fck their coaches, fck everyone involved.

@coursenne there are things i don’t need to post publicly because they don’t need to be paraded. anyway, if you choose not to show empathy toward the student-athletes, that’s on you. i know my character and the values i stand by, and it won’t be defined by performative takes like yours.

@coursenne unlike you, my life doesn’t revolve around parading my sentiments on social media platforms. and don’t tell me that i don’t respect those who passed away because i even went to divine’s wake at ateneo and attended the evening mass.

@coursenne people were already assigning blame, spreading rumors, and creating narratives before the investigation had even run its course. accountability should be based on verified facts and actual responsibility, not speculation from people who weren't there. [4/4]

@coursenne that's not something they have to do publicly to satisfy people like you. those athletes weren't even given the space to properly mourn divine, someone they had been spending time with for nearly two years, because they were being relentlessly harassed over rene's death. [3/4]

divine was clearly raised with so much love, kindness, and good values by his parents, and it reflects in the way his dad carries himself and speaks.

you said it yourself, those athletes were the ones who experienced the tragedy. if they choose to stay, there must be a reason why they’re staying. again, no one really knows what happened at the boot camp except them. get off your moral high horse and think.

also, those boys are losing nothing by decommitting. ffs, they’re senior high school students. the weight of decommitting from an institution in shs is completely different from decommitting when you’re already close to graduating or in the process of starting your degree.

seeing him get dragged with baseless claims and even threats breaks my heart so much bc all i see is the small and carefree kieffer alas who grew up loving basketball and worked so hard to make a name for himself

been a fan of the alas family esp kevin ever since and i’ve literally seen kieffer grow up and become the man that he is now. he has earned every bit of recognition and no false accusations could ever take that away

Kieffer Alas is high IQ basketball player. FIBA at US games niya above average player talaga siya. One of the best sa pinoy gen niya. Idk saan nanggagaling yung inggit siya or selos siya sa teammates niya.
