The early indication is that the AFL will ask for a three-week ban for Xerri tonight. He can throw himself at the AFL's feet, try to reduce the penalty. Wonder if the matter of why he wasn't told to go off for the blood rule when he appealed to the field umpire will come up. Doesn't exonerate him in any way, just another footnote to the case.
