@cmclymer I know some in the base believe what they are hearing and are genuinely worried. The megadonors and top Dems are moving with the money not the polls, and this has the potential to change the character of the Democratic party for decades as we get our equivalent of the NRA.

@cmclymer Sure people disagree, but every historical example points to Biden being the best option, and these efforts strengthened as he polled statistically equivalent to every alternative, made strong showings here and internationally, and strengthened in the polls this month.

People keep claiming that most black voters want Biden to keep running. But where's the actual evidence of that? In the most recent YouGov/Economist poll, black voters by a 49-34 margin thought Biden should step down from running.

Their threads throw in "of course other candidates are risky too!" then proceed to declare that we can ONLY improve polling results by changing candidates. Haven't seen them really acknowledge it's just as likely we'd do worse.
