@BKHockeyTalk Looking at their division though, if they stay in the top 3 of the Pacific, I could easily see them making it to the Conference Final. Vegas is mid and Anaheim's is not great defensively. Wouldn't surprise me if Edmonton beat them both in a playoff series

@rutsburgh I know, but the principal point of contact here isn't the head. Wilson doesn't elevate up into the hit and drives his arm/shoulder through the chest of Pinto. I think people are making a big deal out of it just because it's Wilson. Anyone else, no one bats an eye

@b_acker70 If you make contact first that's a problem. They teach you in Junior not to make contact with head. Wilson is a heck of a player and his hit on Larkin in Olympics was clean, but this one murky at best

Have we really gotten THIS soft? Head is contacted first, yes, but Wilson drives through the chest/shoulder area to knock him down. Refs didn't even call it a penalty and got the roughing call for knocking off Cousins' helmet, which is a penalty.

@torvarun It's just human nature. Puck is at his feet, he's looking for it, Wilson hits him. That's why I'm ok in certain instances with some hits because the players do have some responsibility. Like on boarding plays, if you turn at the last second and a guy hits you, that's not on him.
