Back to babysitti— I mean... working again!

My husband is an engineer, so he tends to see the world in black and white. Meanwhile, I've always been told I'm a dreamer because I firmly believe kindness can solve more than we think. At the end of the day, everyone around us is still a person with a beating heart and feelings. Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is remember that people may be fighting battles they don't know how to speak about. So, before assuming the worst about someone, try remembering there's a real human heart behind the screen, and although our world has indeed become more and more digital... we are still human beings.

CW: Mental Health To be completely honest… due to a number of things, I've been dealing with some additional depression since the beginning of the year. I haven't really able to find joy in many of my hobbies lately, and most of the time I tend to sleep my day away after work. I've tried doing a large number of things to pull myself out of it like keeping myself more busy, revisiting hobbies I used to love, trying to rest more properly, distracting myself however I can, but lately it feels like nothing is really working the way I hoped it would. Some days are better than others, but it has definitely been a difficult period for me mentally and emotionally. I think part of why I stayed quiet about it for so long was because I kept hoping it would simply pass on its own if I just pushed through things hard enough. But it's almost June… and I've started to realize that carrying everything alone in silence probably hasn't helped either. I wanted to share this here not for sympathy, but simply because I want to be more transparent and honest. Sometimes online, it can feel like everyone is always doing well, always productive, always happy, when the reality is that everyone has bad days too. I think a part of me also hopes that by finally saying these feelings out loud, I can slowly find the strength to face them properly instead of continuing to hide them away. Still, despite everything, I truly do believe things will slowly get better little by little. I've always heard that demons tend to lose some of their power once you finally say them out loud, so maybe this is one small step toward healing too. Thank you for reading this, and if you are dealing with something similar… I hope you know too that after every storm, there is always a rainbow! Let's find it together!
