It even led to my arrest, and I spent three weeks in a cell before I was finally granted bail. Then, last month, I received a call. I heard a voice crying, and immediately I recognized it—it was her. She was begging me for help, asking me to find a way to bring her back home. Without asking many questions, I did everything I could to make sure she returned safely. When she finally came back, she told me everything she had been through. It was like a nightmare—more like modern slavery. She had been forced into a terrible situation where she was treated like an object and made to do things against her will. She worked under someone who controlled her completely—she had no phone, no freedom, and no payment, with false promises that she would be paid at the end. She came back home broken… and pregnant. Now, I don’t know what to do.
