On the third anniversary of Russia’s further invasion of Ukraine 🇺🇦, we honour the sacrifice of the men and women who have defended their country against Putin’s unprovoked act of aggression. Ukraine’s struggle is not merely for territory, but for sovereignty. For the principles of liberty and the rule of law. For the value we assign to freedom. Britain has always been clear that it is for the Ukrainian people to determine their own future. To accept anything less would be to forsake their sovereignty and abandon our values. We must pursue a peace which is both just and sustainable. Handing Putin a victory now would undermine the security of Europe and the West, and embolden those who seek to threaten our way of life.

It’s good to be back on this platform after a while. Here’s my new-ish op ed in the Herald Sun. I’ll post another next week. I’d love your thoughts, especially if you disagree with me.
