Tina reinvented her sound, her image, and her destiny. She blended rock, pop, and R&B with that legendary raspy power and electrifying stage presence. No longer “Ike’s ex,” she became the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll on her own terms. She proved that it’s never too late to start over. That strength can be rebuilt. That survival can turn into unstoppable triumph. As Tina herself said: “Sometimes you have to let everything go… purge yourself.
