@AshleyWenskTV Syracuse made the right choice 3 years ago. Autry was associate HC, was 12 years older and had more experience. Not sure how you bypass him for the younger less experienced GMac. GMac got to cut his teeth at Siena. Hopefully Autry gets another HC shot soon

Immediate thoughts on the Gerry McNamara hire for Syracuse: It’s high risk, high reward 🍊🏀 SU is essentially admitting that they got it wrong the first time by choosing Autry to succeed Boeheim when GMac was sitting right there. He’s inheriting a fanbase that, deservedly so, is so hungry to win and grows more impatient by the day. He won’t have time on his side But McNamara is beloved by Orange fans. He proved himself as a coach with Siena this year. If he was the choice that will generate the most NIL and resources, then he’s the guy. If it fails? You’ve alienated two program legends at once and set yourself back at least another few years. If it works out and he’s the guy to bring Syracuse basketball back to national prominence? It’s a hell of a story. And he’ll be a hero
