I bought this issue today because of the X-Men appearance. I wondered why this book hadn’t made my list of X-Men appearances, then I flipped through it and found the secret.

@jonreadscomics I think the unevenness comes from mandates to include certain characters, vehicles, or concepts. When the creators were allowed to do what they wanted, it was great! When forced to include the latest “Battleforce 2000”, it sometimes suffers.

Why is this book so fuggin uneven? After the complete waste of last issue, we get a nice reintroduction of Firefly with a new backstory that ties him to the Masters of Snake-Eyes’s and Storm Shadow’s lore. I mean, Firefly’s new look is inferior to his original design but ah well.
