@sooppeedemon my current dance teacher hates her so much lol. tbh ive never had a dance teacher who actually liked any of the dancer- actresses..it also has a lot to do w how these people tweak the dance for commercialising the art and to fit the context.

it’s not that malayalam actresses are somehow better at portraying classical dance on screen. mostly, actresses who aren’t classically trained simply avoid attempting it altogether instead of turning it into a joke.

@badnoobpractice I think you mean the Kannada version (there's no official telugu remake) But yes, Soundarya was the only one who could be compared to Shobana. She was amazing in it. But all the remakes delved more into the supernatural phenomenon more than the psychological aspect of og movie.
