@taroko_ani Sometimes, but not as much as I should 😭 taking reference of myself makes me feel like such an idiot like why am I turning dramatically towards my camera alone in my room

this is a question for my fellow animators, do you guys gather your own reference from real life? like using your phone or camera to mockup shots or actions irl? if so what kinds of things do you like to watch for? for me ive been doing photography more and ive noticed it made me more aware of things like focal length, aperture and how people are placed in real life and it has allowed me to start making cuts that feel more real.
