To be fair, the person wanted to meet right away, on day 1. But that’s not how things work, especially since nagta-trabaho tayo para sa ekonomiya. Lol. However, when my schedule cleared, I took the chance for us to meet. Unfortunately, the person felt that the invitation was not genuine dahil makikipag-meet lang ako dahil hindi natuloy ‘yung other errands ko. Is there anything wrong with that? 🥹 So, we weren't able to meet, and the person started to grow colder. 🥲

The fact that he could still smile like this, knowing he would die and be eaten alive after battling the seven Sages of Destruction under the Dark Lord and yet seeing Himmel defeat the Dark Lord in future must have lifted an enormous burden from his shoulders. Although he once believed he would be the one to do it, he knew he wouldn’t survive long enough, so he paved a slightly easier path for Himmel and Frieren. He confronted those seven Sages alone, slew three of them, and died a true hero. To have the power to foresee the future, to see your own death coming, and yet to embrace that fate instead of avoiding it... The Hero of the South was incredibly brave and selfless. His smile in this scene brought me to tears. What a man. What a hero.
