@wheelsfelloff_ Which team in the league do you think she should be a starting PG in? Basically, out of all the current starting PGs, who do you think she’s better than?

The only exception is Tamika Catchings, who she coached as assistant coach from 2011-2014, and head coach from 2015-2016 at the Indiana Fever. But Tamika retired right after the 2016 season, after just ONE year with Steph White as head coach. That says enough lol. (2/2)

I’ve understood Steph White’s issue. She’s mostly only coached role players (at Indiana Fever ‘15-16, Connecticut Sun, Vanderbilt). Never coached a team with a superstar. So she doesn’t know how to build a team around a generational player. (1/2)

@Jayteejenes Either tbh. Both of them seem more focused on building a brand outside of basketball this year. And both have been v inconsistent with shooting, and defense wasn’t as good as it was last year. If I had to cut one, I’d pick Lexie though, because Sophie has good nights sometimes

This decision to allow Justine Pissot to get traded also shows how little Steph White’s judgement of players actually matches reality. She only likes players who fit her style of playing, even if they are objectively great players who could thrive on any team.

@bagelled It's one game.....Justine went in with Aces beating Mercury by a huge margin. Mercury played little defense....was more like a shoot around for Justine. Wouldn't get too carried away just yet.

And the worst thing is there was always an opportunity to give Justine a chance - there were so many Fever players who didn’t play matches this season due to injury. She could have got ATLEAST one chance in those matches. I just don’t understand what the Fever were thinking.
