@danwba_ If a manager can’t organise what he’s already got, I’m not sure throwing money at it in summer suddenly fixes that. That’s why I’m struggling to be excited about “backing him next season”. He has not shown enough so far to suggest he’s the right man to take us forward. Worrying

But it does to me feel very much like be patient and just survive under Mason this season (regardless of where we finish) and next season he’ll be given the financial backing to get promotion. Which is exciting, but it has pretty much been 16 months of backwards steps so far.

Mixed feelings about this. Clear that finances have restricted us so it’s understandable, but it’s also such a waste of a season for fans. Aiming for only one additional signing in January? We need at least 3. We’re only 9 points from 3rd don’t just look towards next season.

@danwba_ I get the idea of being patient, but Mason isn’t getting anywhere near the best out of this group right now. Results are one thing, but the lack of identity, strange team selections and players going backwards under him are hard to ignore.

We’ve actually been really good tonight proper shape at the back, organised, compact, winning our duels, cut out silly mistakes and looking dangerous every time we break. Heggebø just keeps on shining, his movement and link-up class again. Campbell’s been brilliant too, full of energy, pressing, driving us forward with a great assist. Big question now… does Mason live to fight another day after this? We’ll see #WBA

@BromBreakdown The coaching’s got to be spot on, the team’s got to have some sort of identity and pride, and the club’s got to be honest about what they’re doing. When all that lines up, then yeah, you’ve got a real project, but its not just an excuse for bad results. Which is happening now!
