I built an online, searchable version of the CM97/98 database. cm9798-db.chrisbpython.workers.dev Includes both the official 2.93 patch + v2 Project DB, advanced filtering, sorting, regen finding and positional data not visible in-game. Screenshots below @cm9798 @cm9798v2

@oldmanuk Would be interesting and do-able, using rules like if a player currently prefers: - D and M but not 'DM' (eg Bjorn): add DM - DM and AM eg (Barnes): pick either DM or AM (can't have both) - D and DM but not M (eg Onopko): either add M or remove the DM

@baghita84 Would be interesting to patch the database to ensure the shown position(s) match the preferred in-game

@uptheclarets22 Afraid not! Whilst I've managed to get a decent handle on how the game displays information from the database on player profiles, how the match engine actually uses it is a different matter which I'm sure others have a better idea about

@baghita84 Any ideas why there can be players with very high CA but a low technique attribute seems to kill their performances?

You can also filter and sort on attributes. Filtering to players with both Aggression and Dirtyness of 20 reveals some interesting characters from the 90s...

A real shame this. But ever since the end of November, Billy became an utter pain in the arse, the minute other teams became interested in him. He gave us a good 5 months service, but now wants to sit on the bench at Highbury on double the money watching Vieira.

My last Hull save wasn't on a continuous thread which annoyed me, so here's another go. Got all player restrictions off, no work permits or foreigner limits and loaded all players so hopefully will be able to bring in some corkers again as the seasons progress

Martin Ayala becomes the first player in my 90 odd years who's hit back to back tonnes. A feat Big Mac and Paddy couldn't achieve! Pretty remarkable given I rested Ayala for the World Club Champs giving Welshman Hughes the first 10 games or so of the season

Re-starting King of the Conference after @NucLeo_8x piqued my interest. We start at newly relegated York City who had a paltry 6 wins last season, no money to spend and a squad so bad there's no way to get out of debt. We will be on the hunt for Football League scrapheap kids
