Do you have a green thumb? The Ministry of Agriculture & Marine Resource distributed nearly 1,000 gardening kits as a part of the National Food Emergency Plan! The initiative continues to help families grow vegetables & other produce in their own backyards & community farms.

Tropical Storm Isaias is closely watched as the Bahamas were put on hurricane watch. The country is projected to be given the all clear by late Sunday afternoon with heavy rainfall & flooding Saturday. A list of hurricane shelters can be found on the official government’s webpage

The Bahamas maintains its Tier 1 status on human trafficking. Ranked by the U.S Dept for the 6th year in a row, The Bahamas continues to stand in the lead to eliminate this heinous crime amidst covid-19. May we all continue onward, upward, and forward together for justice!

When it comes to marine biology, the Bahamian islands are at the top of scientists lists of places to visit! From vast coral reefs, deep sea caves & blue holes to the diverse aquatic life known & to be found, Bahamas has just as much adventure under the sea as it does on land!
