In collaboration with @PwC_Middle_East, the Bahrain EDB hosted a seminar at the Royal University for Women titled Future Skills Required in the Professional Services Sector. This initiative comes as part of the EDB's wider aim to highlight the role of investments in creating local job opportunities and raising awareness of the professional services sector in driving sustainable economic growth in Bahrain.

Bahrain EDB participates in the 2026 Bahrain Sports Day by organising a series of activities aimed at promoting a culture of health, wellbeing, and an active lifestyle.

Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), the Kingdom hosted the 18th edition of the International Women's Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Annual Conference, organised by the IWEC Foundation in cooperation with the Investment and Technology Promotion Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organizsation (UNIDO) in Bahrain, and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). During the conference, Rana Mohammed, Head - International Offices at Bahrain EDB presented Bahrain's investment value proposition showcasing the conducive business environment and Bahrain EDB's key role in supporting companies to set-up in Bahrain.

Musab Abdullah, Executive Director of Business Development – ICT at Bahrain EDB, delivered a keynote at the Oracle Applications Innovation Forum in Bahrain, offering insights into the rapidly evolving digital landscape and the opportunities within the Kingdom’s ICT ecosystem. The session explored Bahrain’s ongoing digital transformation journey, highlighting initiatives that are shaping a future-ready ICT sector.

Led by HE Sameer Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and Bahrain EDB Board Member, BCCI hosted ACE Global Bridges Strategic Forum in partnership with United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and ACE Health Foundation. During the forum, Ahmed Sultan, Executive Director - International Offices & Business Development (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) presented Bahrain's investment landscape and the opportunities it has to offer for businesses seeking to expand into the region.

As part of the Bahrain EDB's commitment to supporting the continued growth of key strategic investors, H.E. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development, Chief Executive of Bahrain EDB, visited MTQ's facility in Al Hidd, a supplier of oil field equipment.

H.E. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to fostering innovation in artificial intelligence. By providing a dedicated space for AI applications, the Kingdom serves as a testing sandbox that enables nationwide pilot programs that can later scale regionally and globally. @wef #WEF26

Arla Foods announced the groundbreaking of its facility expansion in the Kingdom of Bahrain, located in the Bahrain International Investment Park, in the presence of senior officials and Arla senior representatives from across the region. The over USD 60 Million (50.9 million Euro) investment will add 8,000 sqm to Arla’s largest production facility outside Europe and will increase its annual production volume by 30%, making Arla one of the largest dairy makers in the region. Speaking at #WEF26, H.E. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif highlighted how Bahrain’s progressive regulatory framework enables international companies to host data securely within the Kingdom. The Hon. E. David Burt, JP, MP, Premier of Bermuda, today visited the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) as part of his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. On behalf of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, led a high-level Bahraini delegation which participated in the 2026 World Economic Forum @wef Annual Meeting. During the visit, His Highness participated in the signing ceremony of the Board of Peace charter. In addition, the delegation alongside His Highness took part in bilateral meetings, roundtable discussions, high-level strategy sessions and media interviews highlighting Bahrain’s progress across economic diversification, sustainability, and innovation.

On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, will lead a high-level delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain, set to participate in the upcoming World Economic Forum (@wef) Annual Meeting 2026, to be held in Davos, Switzerland from 19 to 23 January 2026. The Forum, under the theme ‘A Spirit of Dialogue,’ will bring together a diverse group of leaders and stakeholders to address global economic challenges in response to geopolitical, economic, and societal shifts. As part of its efforts to showcase key investment projects in the Kingdom and their role in creating job opportunities, the Bahrain EDB hosted a seminar in collaboration with Bahrain Marina at Vatel Bahrain. The lecture titled "Future Skills Needed in the Tourism Sector" aimed to highlight the sector's role in Bahrain and its contribution to the GDP, along with its key drivers and skills required to pursue the various job opportunities it presents.
