Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), the Kingdom hosted the 18th edition of the International Women's Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Annual Conference, organised by the IWEC Foundation in cooperation with the Investment and Technology Promotion Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organizsation (UNIDO) in Bahrain, and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). Arla Foods announced the groundbreaking of its facility expansion in the Kingdom of Bahrain, located in the Bahrain International Investment Park, in the presence of senior officials and Arla senior representatives from across the region. The over USD 60 Million (50.9 million Euro) investment will add 8,000 sqm to Arla’s largest production facility outside Europe and will increase its annual production volume by 30%, making Arla one of the largest dairy makers in the region. The lecture titled "Future Skills Needed in the Tourism Sector" aimed to highlight the sector's role in Bahrain and its contribution to the GDP, along with its key drivers and skills required to pursue the various job opportunities it presents.
