First, it was never against any rule and it was, indeed, a common practice. Even for tactical reasons. They are inventing a new rule and applying it retroactively basing it on pure hearsay.
Second, why are you so weak to care about words? If anybody insults you, you just play harder, make it a joke, or you embrace it and make it a badge of honor
In Argentina Boca fans call ourself “bosteros”, which literally means “manure handlers”, River Plate call themselves chickens, Chacarita the undertakers. Even the Jewish club Atlanta makes it a joke against the Nazi reference that they get and ridiculize them by making extra Jewish jokes.
We just take whatever insult/discrimination our opponents throw at us, take it with pride, and then use it to have extra strength agains them.
To make it relatable to you, if somebody called you black, you would respond with “To you, I’m Mr. Black, or Daddy, as your chocolate-loving mother called me yesterday”. And from then on you call yourself Black Daddy or something like that.
But no, you go for the weakness of asking for pity and playing offended. That’s why Vini Jr can’t even be the shadow of Neymar, Ronaldinho, R9 and Pelé. Real men don’t play offended, they spread fear and respect through strength, skill and unwavering winner mentality.
