Went to work yesterday at 8am. Still on the road. SOPD until 11.30am. Then emergency transout to Labasa. Got back to SSV, emergency retrieval from Navakaka, then stabilize in SSV, then to Labasa again. Got back at 1am. Slept 4hrs, 5am emergency Obs transout, now on my way back.🤣
Either that, or do a compulsory one month attachment as a nurse aide at a busy public hospital or remote health center, before taking your grand parliamentary seat. Until your heart truly breaks for people, you will not serve them well.
If I ever become 🇫🇯 PM (not that I aspire to; I’m happy being a Nephrologist), I will make it mandatory for all government officials, including permanent secretaries, to access healthcare in a public facility first.
