Le Tour arrives today in Nevers (and starts tomorrow from Circuit de Magny-Cours) and I just realized that France has the most polarizing ratings in motor racing circuits in Europe for me. Circuit de Bugatti? GOAT. Both the short and long version 🐐 Pau GP? Hard to overtake, but fun layout and huge historical value Circuit de Nogaro? Pretty decent, would love to see more high-profile racing on the track Paul Ricard and Magny-Cours: total contrast to the other 3, soulless, shit design, too narrow or too wide... 😢 #TDF2026

After that race he argued in the media and also in race office that Vale should get penalised for cutting that corner. Obviously now he thinks it was alright like this

@SheHadDreamsTo1 @kensethology Even the ones who are only marshals for the GP get paid hourly for the weekend. Yes, food is not included most of the time, they sometimes get discount in the restaurant but not much more. There's no volunteer who is there without pay

@balint_86 @kensethology Eeeh, most of the marshals in MotoGP ARE volunteers, they don't get paid, and sometimes aren't even fed.

Hope this fella is doing alright and has the people supporting him he needs. He's a volunteer who dedicates his free time to the sport he loves in an effort to make it a better and safer place and made a tiny error likely after panicking. Can't be a fun situation to deal with

@saianurag209 @madstaffdave @MotoGP Mostly because it wasn't any more serious than any previous times and it happens almost every 3rd weekend that a rider pushes/slaps a marshal people just don't see it because there are no cameras pinned on the marshals

@conalonsismo @kensethology Most marshals don't really care about racing, they are full time marshals for pay and definitely not close to being fans. In not saying they don't like the sport but they don't do it because they are so massive fans but because it's their job

@kensethology For people who perform these tasks every day, picking up a bike by the throttle is a huge mistake and when you consider that these bikes are far lighter than the average bike they have to pick up everyday. Of course Bez shouldn't have hit him, but the marshal is not just a victim

@kensethology I don't know where people get this nonsense that marshals are volunteering. Of course they deserve respect for what they are doing, but it has to be said that they get paid for being there and working. Most of them are local guys and being a marshal is their full-time job

@dirtlxrd Raul made the move, the problem was that their bikes touched and he lost control because of that. If he doesn't straighten the bike, he goes down and wipes Martin out. The problem with Ai's move was that he couldn't hold his line. It was a bit ambitious but mistakes happen

i can reason with an ai ogura penalty. but it’s not sitting right with me when raul got absolutely nothing.
