None to slaves. They were promised 40 acres and a mule by Sherman, but Johnson made them give it back. This was a long time ago, and a lot of water under the bridge. Looking at it, whether right or wrong, dredging it up now and attempting to pay decedents of slaves is inappropriate. Too long ago. Making those who played no part in it pay is wrong! There hasn’t been a culture in this world, who at one time or another, experienced either being a slave or a slave holder.

Slavesowners received their payments, but the slaves never did. It's fairly reasonably to conclude that the US government still owes that debt.
