The Woodland Birder “Blocker Broughton” tried to tell us Grey Squirrel don’t predate open cup passerine nests, nor nest boxes. We told him he was incorrect & we’d seen it first hand, so he Blocked us - Not a very scientific approach. PiedFly coming up on the Tree Rat menu soon..

So sad to find a replacement #Scolopax24 nest predated in the wood. We currently have x28 nests logged. Woodland birds have so much more to contend with compared to those breeding outside the woodland canopy where numbers & productivity are higher @DBC_Woodcock23 @stuartpengs
