nash not deserving his MVPs is the worst myth that i see thrown around everywhere. he may very well be the best offensive player to ever touch a basketball court, if anything he should’ve won more MVPs but people were too obsessed with PRA

@byanronow @PHXSunsfan3413 That’s great. The Knicks were the laughingstock of the league before Brunson showed up, now they’re the team w the most continued PLAYOFF success (not regular season success) the last 4 years. This argument doesn’t work

@ballknower112 @PHXSunsfan3413 Just go take a look at the suns roster in 03-04. Then look how many games they won. Then look at the roster in 04-05 and how many games they won. I’ll give you a hint: they lost their leading scorer in the offseason and then proceeded to win 33 more games. Because of Steve Nash

@campanamike I mean wemby shoved Jalen to the ground w his head, same w Alvarado, threw elbows throughout the playoffs, purposefully stuck his foot under Jalen and Josh both, and elbowed kat in the chin… u old heads love to think physicality is specific to ur era lol nash couldn’t do it tdy

if the spurs physically did to jalen brunson what the spurs physically did to steve nash adam silver would have had to step in and cancel the series

@pinkhoopsss These are great! Now put em aside Brunson’s averages over the last 4 years… since that’s the basis of this tweet.

@xonahoe @realdealstunnna Exactly lol kyrie doesn’t have anything on his resume as impressive as what Brunson just pulled off, but to mention he’s never been a top player ITL and only 2nd team all nba once. Ppl act like he was a 3x mvp cuz he had fancy dribble and finishing moves

Non ball knows gonna say “fancy dribbling” thats how i know folks dont understand basketball frfr degree of difficulty footwork pace speed counters Kyrie game is way more than just “fancy dribbling “ his game is eye candy bc he perfected his craft & makes it look easy

@pinkhoopsss Someone has to go back to elementary school lol if Brunson puts up nash’s career Playoff averages it’d be his worst run as a Knick and it would worsen his legacy

Ku 🦉@KuKhahil

Where is this idea that Steve Nash wasn’t good in the playoffs, I keep getting 45 points screamed at me meanwhile Steve Nash career high in the playoffs is deadass 48 points on 80 TS%😭😭😭😭😭

@ScottKacsmar @cwheelsmiami Then shouldn’t that make it more impressive that he was such a prolific scorer? Isn’t it all abt how dominant you were compared to your era?

Why are Jordan, Kobe, and Curry the only 3 all-time greats that are only expected to be great scorers/shooters? Every other great was expected to be an elite rebounder, passer, both, or an all-time defender. But not that trio. Sorry, I like players who do more than shoot. x.com/dezkatonicfeel…

@alglobus @DamienPetersNBA Brunson outplayed the unanimous dpoy / mvp runner up as the #1 option with double digit comebacks every game and didn’t need game 7 cuz of his heroics in games 1, 2, 4, and 5. He also didn’t have LeBron by his side facilitating and scoring. There’s a rzn he didn’t get 1 fmvp Vote

@ZekeDaFreak21 @LegionHoops I’d never deny Tatum is great. He’s a future hofer. But coming off an Achilles, then getting another injury so severe it kept him out of a game 7 is cause for concern heading into next season. It’s all trends. Kat couldn’t be trending higher, jt is going down

@ballknower112 @LegionHoops JT showed in the games he played this season that he’s a great player Reception around him is positive & he avg’d a near double double Also Flagg & JB is not even close to the same to JT & KAT. Flagg is a rook & JB is in his prime lol JT is 28 and KAT is 30, JT is better

@hundomill @MSingg84501 @KRXNelson @JAM3SMADDISON Clearly he just looked at box scores. Above all else, the whole REASON og could even put up those numbers is cuz of how many open looks Brunson’s gravity generated for him. Then again, can’t expect a guy who doesn’t watch the games to see that

@ballknower112 His career playoff numbers are still very good he had a few blemishes for sure but that’s also due to exposure. I agree that if there’s 5 more years of this Brunson then we can revisit the convo but that’s fairly presumptuous at the moment
