The Mavs have an interesting history with the lottery coin toss (one coming on Monday with the Hawks for the 7th/8th spots) 1981: Mavs win a coin toss against the Detroit Pistons to secure the #1 pick. The Mavs select Mark Aguirre. 2018: Mavs win a coin toss vs the Hawks to secure the 3rd best lottery odds. Then on actual lottery night, the Mavs fell to 5th while the Hawks jumped to 3rd. These two teams would later negotiate the famous Luka for Trae trade on draft night, where the Mavs traded the 5th pick and a protected 2019 1st for the 3rd pick. 2019: Mavs lose two coin flips on one night against the Pelicans and Grizzlies, and get the last of the three spots at 7th, 8th, and 9th. The Pelicans and Grizzlies would jump to 1st and 2nd on lottery night, while the Mavs would fall to 10th and convey their top 5 protected pick to the Hawks. This was the Zion and Ja draft. 2025: Mavs win a coin toss vs the Bulls to secure the 11th best odds. Then on lottery night, the Mavs jumped to 1st for the right to select Cooper Flagg.

If the #Rams did draft Jeremiyah Love per say. They would likely trade Blake Corum. The best they could net is a late 3rd - 4th pick or a player swap. Would you do that? In a weaker RB draft teams would definitely have interest in Corum. Me personally, I think you take the best player available in the draft and address your needs in FA. Assuming that is done this would make the Rams a better football team.
