@paradox_somnie @colligocritters i knew lots of other art students who were also forced into using ai, usually under the guise of learning how to use stuff that isn't going away so it needs to be used by artists anyway. most kids hated it to my knowledge, so i think eventually teachers gave up pushing so hard

I wanna point out that some universities are forcing their students to use ChatGPT, e.g. in math undergrad they give them weekly assignments that are graded that you can ONLY DO WITH ChatGPT in that time frame. its fucked up and idk why it isn't talked about more...?

@paradox_somnie @colligocritters half of my class hated it, the other half didn't seem very educated on it & the teacher didn't mention many of the big concerns like environmental issues about it when discussing, so they thought it was cool and useful. they rlly liked making us use photoshop's gen ai :/

@COASTALCUNTS we use angels for personal reasons but i think it can be applicable if there is something you feel you could substitute for. using angels really resonates with us so maybe something specific to u wld help. i think almost any noun could work honestly

@magemultitudes yea ! we all settled on leonie (shortens to leo !! & being afab leonie is great for staying safe in america) bc of an important song to us. we all like it no matter the parts gender identity and its feels very correct for us :3
