Jeff Rath is wrong. First Nations will suffer if Alberta separates or joins the US. Treaties are with Canada. If Alberta joins the US, First Nations will lose treaty protections under Canadian law and be under US Indian law, with worse benefits and fewer rights. Indigenous leaders view separation as a move toward assimilation. Soros does not provide grants or fund Canada's First Nations.
