When I was a hiring manager, I always wanted to get the highest salary possible for those I was onboarding. I would sometimes fight HR for the higher amount even more than my new hire. Conventional wisdom seems to be that shaving salaries of employees helps the bottom line but in reality, it costs the company more in the long run, because they are constantly hiring and training lower paid people who don't stick around because as soon as they start, they are looking for something better. If you low-ball your candidates, all you do is set yourself up for disgruntled employees and future turnover.

This afternoon, the High Court dismissed Chairman Wontumi’s submission of no case in The Republic v Bernard Antwi Boasiako, Kwame Antwi & Akonta Mining Company Ltd. This means two things: (1) That our illustrious State Attorneys have proven the allegations in the case, and (2) that if Chairman Wontumi fails to give a sensible explanation to the accusations, he will be convicted and punished. The Court has since directed him and his Akonta Mining to explain their side of the story (if they have any explanations) by calling witnesses (if they have any witnesses to call).

I have noted with concern a publication circulating on social media by Ghana Today and @Gen_Buhari_ that makes claims about my academic scholarship and suggests that it was obtained through my relationship with Mrs. @joyce_bawah. For the record, I was awarded the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship in 2023 to pursue a Master of Science degree at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) in Hungary. I completed the program and graduated with a GPA of 4.79 on a 5.0 scale. Following my graduation, I gained admission to the Doctoral School of Economics and Regional Science, now known as the Doctoral School of Management and Business Administration, at the same university. I currently reside in Hungary and not in London, as has been reported. It is also important to clarify that my scholarship was awarded under the previous NPP administration, not the current NDC administration.
