In high school and college I used to be very metric-biased. Working in aerospace I became neutral, but after picking up machining I'm like super standard now, I am unable to intuitively understand clearances or surface finish in metric.

Time to look at combined effects of the rocket on those nozzles I think - Vulcan is supposed to be *the* reliable launcher (cough)...

Again, ULA has said nothing about any "observation," and the launch is continuing. However, it looks like Vulcan had another SRB nozzle issue. Potential burn through seconds into launch and then likely blew off halfway into first stage. SRBs do cough chunks, even back to Shuttle, but seemed far more than normal, in tandem with the initial view. youtube.com/live/y_uwK1uuK…

which is generally why COPVs go through a Lot of leak checking, and are thrown out if dropped/hit
a fun story: have a friend that was leak checking a fitting on one, some of the soap (for bubbles) spilled on the COPV itself, which promptly started foaming
instantly scrapped lol
