@Goldxn_Violin The deleted scenes (of all the prequels, at least the first two) are even stranger

There’s like 10% of The Phantom Menace that I think is genuinely great it’s just locked in one of the strangest blockbusters ever made

@SportsFan117_ @laughNsext @cartmansfinsta Dumbass, the concept the comic is built on is those two things coexisting, leading to satirical comedy hi-jinks. Homelander couldn’t do the thing he says he couldn’t do for the reasons he stated. That’s the joke. He might have powers but the plane doesn’t.

@laughNsext @cartmansfinsta @barklikea Supes defy “physics” anyway. Stop trying to cope. He could’ve, he just chose not too. Don’t say physics this, science that. Flying is impossible, so is laser vision. Stop being an idiot.

@ElDogson @Em3kaknows_ @cartmansfinsta You’re the dumb baby. It’s clearly explained in the scene, by the character themselves, but you need to invent a reason fascist American superman has no limitations. lol And I’m not the one trying to pointout a flaw in the shows logic, you are! 😂

@barklikea @Kahir__ @dvrkbrownboy @cartmansfinsta Ur refusing to acknowledge the most obvious criticism of this is that the alternative is to let the plane crash n die n they all die anyway , he didn’t wanna even try , even if he was right trying is better than letting everyone die as a superhero right? N wat about takin a few?

@biggzo15 @dvrkbrownboy @cartmansfinsta To shift the plane he’s gonna have to apply pressure to it at a point the size of two human hands, the moment it stops moving it he’s balancing it. But the point is, he’s not lying!

@barklikea @dvrkbrownboy @cartmansfinsta Hes not balancing it on himself😑😑. He doesnt need to put the full weight on himself in order to guide the plane. Hes strong enough to be able to simply get under the plane and guide it somewhere.

@Kahir__ @dvrkbrownboy @cartmansfinsta Insane that people are so fucking stupid, that even with this explicitly stated and explained by the characters in the scene, they need to invent some secret reason or motivation because they can’t understand the concept.

@dvrkbrownboy @barklikea @cartmansfinsta Because Homelander himself uses real life logic to explain why he can't do it. "That kind of speed either the plane goes ass over tit or I'll punch straight through the hull" The superheroes defy physics but that doesn't necessarily mean the normal objects around them do.

@lukas_longtin @PrettyNastyNupe @dvrkbrownboy @cartmansfinsta Buddy, the shows concept is that the regular world physics and all coexist with superhero’s. It’s the inciting incident with A Train and the gf. It’s even explained in the scene we’re discussing, you’re the one nitpicking if you don’t believe it. Lmao

@barklikea @Vaginatfireball @cartmansfinsta Match speed, catch plane gently. It's literally that easy. If you're gonna pretend to use your brain, maybe you should try actually doing so, at least a little.

@ash_x_woods @cartmansfinsta Also not really possible, and also almost exactly what the scene and story is parodying by pointing out. The issue isn’t the super hero, it’s the plane.

@barklikea @cartmansfinsta Holding it in mid air is not really the best way to go about it. I know Superman 2005 denied physics to a certain level but the important part of that scene was that Superman first had to match the speed of the falling plane, then started to look for ways to slow it down

@gabadegool @dvrkbrownboy @cartmansfinsta The concite of the setting (and core concept of the satirical narrative) is that real world physics, biology, and economic forces coexist with super beings. So no, you are the one misunderstanding things.

@PrettyNastyNupe @dvrkbrownboy @cartmansfinsta I’m sure you already read this, but the issue is the strain the weight of the plane would put on the plane itself when fixed at a single point the size of a human. I’m sure he could float or “move freely” but the issue is the plane not the superhero. lmao

@barklikea @dvrkbrownboy @cartmansfinsta Homelander doesn’t need to stand on anything. He doesn’t “fly” he moves freely through the air, the fact that he’s stationary proves this. You missed the point. He didn’t feel like saving them.

@ash_x_woods @cartmansfinsta The relative size is pretty accurate. If he tired to lift a plane yes, if had something to push against he could move or push the plane on the ground. Holding it in mid air would result in it splitting like the Titanic because of its own weight and structure.

@barklikea @cartmansfinsta I get what you’re saying, but Homelander and a plane are not comparable in size to a nail and a human. If what you’re saying is correct then his excuse (nothing to stand on) would also be a lie because wouldn’t the same thing happen if he had something to stand on?

✨💎✨@barklikea·
@whiskerbug @cartmansfinsta He would still be holding the entire weight of the plane when it stopped moving. The issue is that weight of the plane and its structure would be enough to puncture or break the plane when focused at a point the size of two human hands.

🦔 leni ᵎᵎ THE BOYS FINALE SPOILERS!!
🧵 i think theres a lot of different definitions of 'flight' in superhero worlds and people dont really want to ACTUALLY discuss it despite it being an interesting part of the world does homelander fly freely through air & space OR is he restricted by needing momentum/gravity?
✨💎✨@barklikea

@cartmansfinsta Basic fucking physics. If you tried to balance the entire weight of your body on the point of a nail it wouldn’t “hold” you, it would puncture you. If the nail was frozen in air you wouldn’t stop, it would pass through you. Or you would pass around it.

@barklikea @dvrkbrownboy @cartmansfinsta That’s not true, he could match the planes speed and guide it to a spot. He doesn’t need to straight up stop it or anything, just get control.
