❗️an update ❗️ It’s taken me a few days to ground myself and gather my thoughts on what’s been happening. I would like to start off by thanking the many people who’ve sent such kind messages of support. I may not be able to get back to everybody, but I do see it all and it means everything to me, thank you very much. The trial has been scheduled for December 2027. It’s an awfully long time to wait. It’s frustrating, of course, but it’s also the unfortunate reality of how overstretched and chronically underfunded our criminal justice system is right now. I know I’m not the only one facing delays like this. There are thousands of others, survivors, families, witnesses who are all waiting for their day in court, for justice to be done and seen to be done, often they are waiting for years. It’s not easy, but I understand why it’s happening. I stand with everyone else caught in this backlog. We’re holding on for justice and holding on together ❤️
