2026 @MarymountBASE commit Jayson Cohen (@JaysonCohen6) is a fantastic defensive catcher with a good bat who’s primed for a big senior season this spring at @baronsbaseball. Behind the plate, Jayson shows advanced defensive ability and consistently controls the running game with quick, efficient catch-and-throw actions, posting sub-2.0 in-game pop times. He receives well, blocks with confidence, and moves athletically in all directions. Offensively, he displays strong bat-to-ball skills with a compact swing and the ability to impact the baseball, including solid pull-side power. Coming off a standout junior campaign in which he hit .408 with a 1.131 OPS, Jayson competes at a high level and continues to trend upward. A great competitor on the field, Jayson should be poised for a big senior year before heading to Marymount. We’re excited to follow his success this spring and at the next level.
