Citing our Hard Seltzer 360 Report, 33% of consumers say they would use it as a mixer with a spirit. Most popular spirits? 69% Vodka 53% Rum 52% Tequila 45% Liqueurs The percentages show those that mix with hard seltzer do it diversely.

@BrewersStats Yes, it’s wasn’t a “percentage of where HS consumers are coming from”, rather a “what have you swapped from (select all apply)”. Easier to define latter especially with high crossover/repertoire drinkers. I like your 2nd question too 🤔

@barsnboardrooms Thanks. So the % don't have to total to 100, it was just % of people who said they were swapping some of that volume? 2nd question would be an interesting one to ask. If you drank a hard seltzer, what would you have drunk were it not available?

@BrewersStats Yes, Wine is lower than Beer and Cocktails (1 & 2) but its swapping share is still significant. Not sure about data on 2nd question but there are a number of soft drink and n/a beverages loosing share to HSW too which was surprising.

@barsnboardrooms I assume wine was asked about as well and was just really low? And any percentage for occasions where a seltzer drinker wouldn’t have ordered a drink at all?

As off-premise sales of total beer see an increase (+5%) there is a good opportunity for brew pubs, tap rooms and package stores with bars to seize the opportunity for mid day bars sales with the consumer purchasing packaged alcohol for carry out. 3/3

Sports bar (+52% vs pw) and Irish pubs (+22% vs pw) overall saw an increase and breakfast (+24% vs pw) and brunch (+12% vs pw) times of day saw increase showing consumers are getting those on-premise visits in but earlier in the day. 2/3

Super Bowl is undoubtedly a huge event in the US, but how does it affect the on-premise? A study of ours from a previous SB shows that restaurants, especially casual dining (-37% vs prev week) suffer. There are brights spots though 1/3
