@lucasaganronald To add I would mention the worrying lack of strength in the Visma squad for the race. Jonas was alone on multiple occasions when the going got tough. I’m sure they are aware of this themselves, Visma that is, but their competitors have for sure noticed it.

THREAD My takeaways from Volta a Catalunya week 1. Sometimes you have to calm your feelings and ride with your head I am absolutely for the show, for showing passion, but sometimes you really have to use your head instead of your heart. We all know who we are talking about. If you are really here to win this race overall, you cannot attack in a flat finish before the decisive mountain stages. And with the risk of that possible crash that happened and ruined your whole race. Jonas is often criticized for being boring, being just on the wheels of others, and not relying on anything. Lots of people criticizing Jonas but his tactics were perfect. Do enough to keep them in front but also tire out Remco by not pulling in the beginning and towards the end of their duo attack. Then try to outsprint him with more in the legs to take the stage and bonus seconds.

I don’t even know how many times I’ve written this here, but for the slow ones: Jonas doesn’t have to work with Remco / Tadej/ Almeida/ anyone while he’s in a breakaway Jonas doesn’t have to entertain us. The only thing Jonas has to do is win races and work for his team🫶 Peace

Řekl, že je hluboce zraněn a příště se bude snažit ze všech sil zajistit 100 % hlasů. Také uvedl, že 0,07 %, kteří pro něj nevolili, se nesetká s žádnou diskriminací.

K bojkotu zahajovacího ceremoniálu Paralympiády 2026 se už přidalo 11 zemí. Za Českou republiku toto stanovisko přijal Český paralympijský výbor. Důvodem je rozhodnutí umožnit ruským a běloruským sportovcům soutěžit pod národními vlajkami. Respekt patří všem, kteří ukazují, že sport není jen o medailích, ale i o hodnotách.

@x_uzivatel11018 @JanLipavsky Myšlenka taková být může, ale chování dle ní je věc druhá. O to víc tímto obhajovat Rusy, kteří dlouhodobě politicky sport zneužívají, jako krásný příklad může být KHL a válka na Ukrajině, nebo olympiáda v Soči.

@bartak_vaclav @JanLipavsky To je omyl. Olympijská myšlenka je úplně jiná, nestrannost a apolitičnost je hlavním ideálem. A u Paralympiády - sportu postižených sportovců - je udržení této myšlenky ještě důležitější.
