Shazam is something where if you saw it for the first time today, you'd be like "wow that's some crazy AI magic." Nuts that it was invented >20 years ago.

@SquashVash @gilbert Actually Shazam is AI (and in fact the first AI that became mass consumer). The techniques for AI evolved over the decades from "rules-based" to "pattern recognition" (which Shazam is) to machine learning to neural network processing. See chrisjbarton.com/infographic?_g…
