From “Beti ki zindagi se kat ke fek dunga” to “Please do something, Maira ko bulayo na”, requesting to Abhira to help him. He has come a long way. #yrkkh

Some more ss of stories, & this is getting too much now. Targeting her over every single thing, saying she doesn’t promote the show or the ship, that she just comes, acts, & leaves, What else is she supposed to do? That’s her job, & she’s doing it perfectly. #yrkkh

Ray's favourite lens was the 40 mm, which corresponds best to normal human vision. He tended to avoid the extreme close shot and the extreme wide angle, both of which to him were a sort of hyping, one invading privacy and the other falsifying perspective.
Obsessive attention to naturalness of a frame.
There's a reason why auteurs rejoice his work, the declassé on the other hand can't relate.

Can anyone educate me, what's so extraordinary in these frames?

Dunno about those stills, but this scene from Ray's Charulata (1964) was remarkable for its time. Used a first person "Go-Pro" style shot rarely seen in cinema back then.
